FIRST robotics
I served as president of my high school’s FIRST robotics team, leading a team of over 70 students my senior year. Over my four years of experience, I would perform critical calculations for the team determining motor selections, and gear ratios and developed a protocol in determining what kind of motors and gears we need which is still used to this day. Although my primary duties were in ensuring team synergy and coordination across mentors, students, and parents, I would also perform CAD and manufacturing work when I have downtime.
I designed our indexer for the 2020 season, which is capable of automatically spacing and holding 5 foram balls(the maximum allowed by rules). Through this, I coordinated the ball handoff between the intake subteam, and the shooter subteam.
